Transport and Warehouse Manager

Working with short lead times in a ‘Run to order’ manufacturing plant makes for an exciting and challenging environment. This role will oversee all aspects of Transport and Warehouse Management, driving continuous improvement and innovation. You will have the opportunity to seek out improvements in the operations and make the changes needed to improve efficiency, service and profitability.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a small fleet of trucks
• Time slot booking, route scheduling and co-ordination of all vehicle and transport processes for distribution
• Fatigue Management, Mass Management and Maintenance Management Plans
• Maintain compliance certificates
• Maintaining records and managing delivery reports
• Handling sub-contractors and 3PL
• Picking of 3rd party stock
• Liaising with clients
• Staff Management
• Coordinating warehouse movements
• Stock control, planning / forecasting
• Dispatch of goods
• General administrative duties

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• HC Licence
• Fatigue Management Certificate
• Forklift Licence
• Container experience
• Sound knowledge of Sydney roads
• Intermediate skill with MS Office Suite
• Attention to Detail
• Excellent Time Management Skills
• ‘Can Do’ Attitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
